The American magazine Newsweek has ranked 2,200 hospitals worldwide and Aarhus University Hospital (AUH) in Denmark ranks at the 19th best hospital in the world and number nine in Europe.

- At AUH we are ranked among the absolute top hospitals in the world, and I am convinced that we fully deserve this ranking. After two years with COVID-19, which has turned everything upside down, our staff still show commitment and dedication to make life better for the patients. It is a huge acknowledgement of our staff that the ranking is based on assessments from health professionals from all over the world, says Poul Blaabjerg, CEO at AUH.

- Most of all, I am really pleased that our patients are treated at the highest international level.

The ranking is made by researchers and experts together with the data company Statista. The data behind the precise rankings thus vary, as rankings are based of available data on quality and patient satisfaction as well as assessments by health professionals from all over the world.
